In Tallahassee, partnerships were established between Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, Florida State University, FSU’s Seven Days of Opening Nights to present two hospital residencies:

Grammy-nominated musician Cindy Bullens performed for staff and visitors in the Atrium of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, February 13, 2007, followed by an uplifting performance and personal visits to patients in both the oncology and pediatrics units. Cindy shared her personal stories which created a bridge to shared laughter, tears, smiles, and much toe-tapping!

John Fox presented Poetry as Therapy and Medicine to clergy, staff, volunteers and visitors, an intimate interactive discussion, held in the Atrium of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, June 11, 2007, followed by room-to-room readings with patients in the Outpatient Radiation Oncology and Internal Medicine Units. Patients and staff alike learned the power of poetry and expressive writing for healing and processing of emotion.
