Gifts to any area of Shands HealthCare are welcomed and appreciated, but the hospital does have some special needs. The following priority needs represent areas where gifts make the greatest difference in ensuring our continued growth and maintaining our leading role in patient care.

Unrestricted support for any area

Unrestricted support for Shands HealthCare provides the greatest flexibility to meet our unbudgeted needs. Today in healthcare, needs and priorities are constantly changing as advances are made. Unrestricted funds help us meet new challenges as they arise and plan strategically for the future.

Specific program support

Restricted gifts provide additional funding for many of our outstanding patient programs. Many programs receive restricted gifts from grateful patients who want to give back to the area that has provided them with outstanding care.

Building our program endowments

By creating new endowments or growing established ones, Shands can provide programs and hospitals with the additional funding resources they need to maintain their leading role in healthcare throughout the United States and the world.
