Growth and Expansion
At the heart of our growing system are nine not-for-profit hospitals and more than 80 affiliated outpatient physician practices. Approximately 1,500 University of Florida faculty and community physicians on our medical staff work alongside 13,000 employees (including 2,880 nurses), covering virtually every medical specialty and providing the full range of care – from family and pediatric services to behavioral health and highly complex, critical care. We are continually exploring ways to enhance our healthcare system to meet our commitment to serve patients for decades to come.
