Pelvic Pain Seminar
The UF Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute and Shands Rehab Center at Magnolia Parke are holding a free seminar about treatment options for pelvic pain on Thursday, May 29. The seminar begins at 7 p.m. and will be held at the UF Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute, located at 3450 Hull Road in Gainesville. Judith Cendan-Simms, MD, and Vicki Lukert, PT, will present information about the medical and physical therapy management of pelvic pain. Please call About the PresentersJudith Cendan-Simms, MD, is an assistant professor of gynecology at the UF College of Medicine. She attended medical school and completed her residency at the University of Florida. Her clinical interestes are Pediatric and adolescent obstetrics and gynecology, gynecologic surgery and the study of alternative therapies in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Cendan-Simms has extensive experience in the management of abnormal cervical cytology in adolescents. Dr. Cendan-Simms is a frequent speaker for numerous community projects, including the March of Dimes Chain Reaction and Healthy Start's MomCare programs, and directs an international program with medical students to deliver women's health care to rural communities in Mexico. Vicki Lukert, PT, is a physical therapist at Shands Rehab Center at Magnolia Parke and has 29 years of experience specializing in women’s and men’s health issues. She received her degree in Physiotherapy in New Zealand and has worked in America for the past 25 years. Lukert has extensive experience as a workshop presenter in both the United States and New Zealand.
