The Shands Cardiovascular Center at the University of Florida offers world-class cardiovascular care. UF physicians are leading the fight against heart disease with state-of-the-art diagnosis and advanced surgical and non-surgical techniques. Our physicians and surgeons are nationally and internationally recognized leaders in cardiology, thoracic and cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery.

The Shands Cardiovascular Center at UF is among the first to perform many of the newest medical procedures, some of which were developed by UF physicians.

The UF faculty physicians who practice at Shands at UF provide many adult and pediatric services including:

The Center offers monitored adult and pediatric care facilities, such as the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiac Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Intermediate Care Units, Surgical ICU and Telemetry Care Units.
