Ham’s (acid hemolysin) test

Normal Values:

A negative test is normal.



What abnormal results mean:
  • Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria
  • Congenital dyserythropoietic anemia (anemia associated with a hereditary problem with erythropoietin, the hormone that normally triggers red blood cell production)
