The Shands Lake Shore Emergency Department includes two trauma rooms, one major care bed, four fast-track beds and six emergency beds. For any services not available at Shands Lake Shore, we have transfer agreements with Shands at the University of Florida and Shands Jacksonville.

Additionally, services of TraumaOne, a state-the-art helicopter ambulance service operated by Shands Jacksonville, can be requested for emergent transfers.
