The Shands at University of Florida Level I Trauma Center includes a 24-bed Trauma unit. The Trauma unit enhances current research related to trauma injuries and uses the latest technology to achieve excellent patient care.

Nursing Requirements

• Must be a Graduate Nurse (GN) Registered Nurse (RN)
• Nursing Personnel must complete the four-hour Trauma Tracks Course on mandatory topics
• Must complete 16 contact hours of trauma-related education every two years
