Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium April 26
Cancer experts from the University of Florida GI Oncology Program at Shands at UF will host symposium on advancements in diagnosis and treatment of liver, pancreatic and colorectal cancers.
University of Florida physicians, oncologists and members of the UF GI Oncology Program will host a free symposium on Saturday, April 26, where they will discuss the latest advancements in diagnosing and treating colorectal cancer, as well as cancers of the liver, pancreas, and the rest of the gastrointestinal tract.
The Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium will offer information about prevention, screening and multiple aspects of cancer management. Topics include the current state and future of personalized medicine, advancements in surgical and radiation treatment, the latest in chemotherapy and clinical trials, as well as treatment and advances in molecular targeted therapies.
