Head and neck tumors
Nearly
60,000 people each year develop a tumor of the head or neck.
Tumors that appear within the head and neck region are not
always cancerous and University of Florida physicians are
trained to determine if a head or neck tumor is malignant
or benign.
University of Florida ear,
nose and throat (ENT) physicians will work closely with other
physicians from the University
of Florida Shands Cancer Center Head and Neck Oncology
Program to treat head
and neck cancer. Together, a multidisciplinary team
works to treat your head or neck tumor through various non-invasive
or surgical procedures and innovative radiation and gene
therapies.
University of Florida
ENT physician can also perform Mohs microscopic surgery
to treat certain types of skin cancer. This reduces the
risk of recurrence.
