Sleep Study Lab

We have a Sleep Disorders Lab for diagnosis of sleep-related breathing disorders (i.e. sleep apnea). A polysomnogram (Sleep Study Test) is a painless test used to evaluate the severity of sleep disturbances. While sleeping, the patient is attached to sensor monitors. These monitors record various physical activities during sleep, such as heart activity and rate, eye movement and muscle activity.

Sleep testing is often used to test for sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a condition that causes a person to stop breathing for short periods during sleep, which can lead to other sleep disturbances.
