The University of Florida physicians practicing at the adult Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Shands Medical Plaza provide a team of board-certified oncologists and hematologists who work together to offer comprehensive cancer treatment in a supportive atmosphere.

We provide:

• adult hematology
• hematology/oncology
• coumadin clinic
• non-chemo and chemo outpatient infusion services

Our specialized hematology services include care for a wide spectrum of disorders including:

• nutritional anemias
• primary bone marrow failure
• sickle cell syndromes
• bleeding dyscrasias
• hypercoagulability problems

We also offer lymphoma and cancer care to treat:

• breast
• lung
• gastrointestinal tract
• genital/urinary tract

Hours of Operation

We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Payment

Most private insurance, Medicare, Workers’ Compensation and managed health care plans cover services provided by adult hematology/oncology.

Enter the west side of the building and go to the second floor.

Parking is available at the Shands Medical Plaza garage, which is just east of the Shands Medial Plaza off Gale Lemerand Drive.  There is a parking fee of $3 per day (cash only).  Valet parking is available at a cost of $5 per day.  Free handicapped parking is provided immediately outside of the entrance to the Medical Plaza in designated spaces. 

Miscelaneous

Our center participates in national clinical research trials through the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG), Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) and numerous pharmaceutical industry studies.
