| Information for Volunteens
Dress CodeVolunteens are required to wear the red or white Volunteen polo shirt with khaki colored pants and a Shands volunteer ID badge. Badges and shirts may be picked up in the Volunteer Office. Shirts are $10. CommitmentThe Volunteen Program is open to students ages 14-17 to volunteer at Shands during the summer months. They are expected to work one day or two half-days a week during summer break. ParkingUF parking surrounds the Shands at UF facility. Please contact the Volunteer Services Department at 352.265.0360 for assistance. AttendanceVolunteers who have more than two absences per semester will be dropped from the schedule. However, volunteers may make up an absence within two weeks of calling out if approved by the assigned area or Volunteer Coordinator. LockersVolunteers must leave their personal belongings and medications inside lockers at the Volunteer Office. Volunteers may bring their own lock each time they volunteer, or use the locks provided by the Volunteer Services department. |
