The UF & Shands educational affiliation with Orlando Regional Healthcare began in 1991.

Orlando Regional Healthcare is one of Florida's largest private, not-for-profit hospital systems with 1,572 licensed beds.

The system includes a number of acute care community hospitals in the Orlando area as well as the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women and the M.D. Anderson CAncer Center Orlando. It is recognized for its centers of excellence in cardiology, cancer treatment, and women's and children's care.
